Essential Listening : #28 Royal Wood

A Good Enough Day was a 2007 offering from another fine Canadian singer/songwriter, Royal Wood. Our choice cut Juliet is featured below. Compared to the likes of Ron Sexsmith and Rufus Wainwright, A Good Enough Day found a number of its tracks making their way onto film and TV soundtracks and led to Royal being named iTunes songwriter of the year in 2008.

Later this year he returns with new record We Were Born To Glory set for a summer release. Towards the end of 2012 we can also look forward to live dates in the UK and Ireland.

We’re certainly looking forward to that, but for now a look back:
