Essential Listening

Essential Listening : #18 Liam Dullaghan

It took former member of The HaveNots Liam Dullaghan almost 3 years to deliver his debut solo album. It was time well spent. It’s here now. And it’s been a worthwhile wait. Indeed we included it in our top ten albums of 2011.

The Irish Times called Making History “an amalgam of the joys of The Replacements, Teenage Fanclub, Pernice Brothers and Big Star. Think sweet Americana fused with power pop and you’re halfway there. Think one of the best records of its type to pass this way in an age”.

We’d tend to agree. The YouTube clip is a live acoustic version of Choirs Of Angels, and the full version from Soundcloud is also below, just click the play button to enjoy.
